On Thursday February 13, 2015 the three newly-appointed Sarnia representatives of the Lambton County Historical Society met to discuss our role on the county-wide historical society as well as the possibility of re-establishing the Sarnia Historical Society. Phil presented his findings on the Sarnia Historical Society: it had been in operation until 2012, it had managed the Sarnia Historical Museum at 137 Davis Street, and the museum had closed in 2012 after they were evicted by the landlord. The Sarnia Historical Museum’s artifacts were then donated to the Lambton County Heritage Museum. Ron, Phil and Laura all agreed that we wanted to learn more about the former Sarnia Historical Society and its board members. Our first order of business was to track them down.
