South Ward Reunion
The Legion 286 Front Street North, Sarni, Ontario, CanadaThis event is free to the public and refreshments will be provided. The area bound by Christina St. S, St. Andrew St., Vidal St. S and Clifford St. was once a thriving neighbourhood with hundreds of houses, a restaurant, grocery store, a grade 1-2 school, churches and a park. In the 1960, 70s and 80s, Imperial Oil started buying the properties and demolishing the structures. Today, along with a few other businesses, the area mainly consists of parking lots, green space and various Esso-Imperial Oil buildings. We are having a neighbourhood celebration and reunion and hope you can come! Hosted by the Sarnia Historical Society and the Taylor Family in partnership with the Lambton County Archives.
